Since 1911 Olivari have been making brass door handles, making them Italy’s oldest dedicated door handle manufacturer. All of the production is carried out at its own plants in Novara.
Since the 1950s Olivari have collaborated with some of the World’s most famous designers and architects to bring to the market what is today probably the best and most comprehensive range of handles in the World.
The oldest of these is the Lama, designed in 1956, by Giò Ponti. The latest is Milano (2019) by Antonio Citterio.
Sandwiched in between are original designs by Marcello Piacentini, Vico Magistretti, Giugiaro, Ferdinand Porsche, Richard Sapper, Daniel Liebskind, Zaha Hadid and many more iconic names in the world of design.
In the world of production technology Olivari lead the way with no less than 8 PVD finishes, offering a 30 year warranty. The guilloche technique allows Olivari to engrave intricate patterns on certain models, a technique dating back to 17th Century Swiss watch engraving.
